I recently embarked on a Tuscany journey that took me through some of the most breathtaking locations in Italy. Starting in the charming village of Manarola in the Cinque Terre, I made my way through the countryside of Tuscany and eventually ended up in Florence.
Continuing on my Tuscany journey, I also explored the neighboring region of Liguria, home to the iconic Cinque Terre or “Five Lands.” This UNESCO World Heritage Site comprises five picturesque villages, including Manarola, perched atop rugged cliffs overlooking the Mediterranean Sea.
Each of the five villages has its own distinct character, but they all share a common thread of colorful houses and stunning coastal views. Hiking between the villages was one of the highlights of my trip, as the trail offered breathtaking panoramas of the sea and countryside.
Of course, no Tuscany journey would be complete without a visit to Florence. This bustling city is filled with history, art, and culture at every turn. The Duomo, the Uffizi Gallery, and the Ponte Vecchio were just a few of the highlights of my trip.
But even in the midst of all the city’s grandeur, I found myself drawn back to the simple beauty of the countryside. It was in Tuscany’s rolling hills and winding roads that I truly found my inspiration as a photographer.
